Yesterday was the first day of school for the 2016-2017 school year! 

I had a great day getting to know my kiddos. I have the sweetest group of first graders and I am so excited to spend the year with them! 

This is what I wore for the first day! I didn't think about the fact that wearing white jeans and 22 little firsties might not be the best combo, but I am happy to report my white jeans survived the day! 

This top is one of my favorite recent purchases! I love the floral print and the sweet peplum hem. It's one of those perfect transition pieces that can be worn now, and in the colder months with a sweater, black pants and boots!

Happy Tuesday!

Today is my last day of summer vacation as I officially start teaching tomorrow. I am excited to start a new school year, but have to admit it's hard to go back when the weather is still so nice! I am still living in my summer dresses and denim cutoffs, and know that when I get home from work, changing into a tank and shorts will be the first thing I do! As excited as I am for new fall clothing, I hate to say goodbye to bare shoulders and a nice tan! 

I have completely fallen in love with this sweet off the shoulder dress! I'm already envisioning it for the 4th of July next year with a little red bandana tied around my neck. I'm also trying to figure out how to style it for school without showing my shoulders. I'm think a denim jacket with some wedges would be a great look for the first week!

A t-shirt dress can be the most versatile piece in your wardrobe! I've been wearing this adorable criss-cross front tee dress all summer long! As the weather starts to cool down, it is such an easy piece to throw on and layer! For a chillier day of trainings, I paired it with a cozy cardigan and some suede booties. I can't wait to style it in the winter with leggings, riding boots and a plaid scarf!

Off the Shoulder Crochet with Dezzal

Happy Wednesday!

I can't believe it is only Wednesday! This week has been the longest! I've spent a lot of time at trainings and getting my classroom ready for the new year! Tonight is meet the teacher night and I am really excited to meet my new first graders! 

This sweet little crochet off the shoulder dress from Dezzal is the ultimate LWD. I love the crochet and obviously love the off the shoulder! The detailing on this dress is SO gorgeous, and even prettier in person! I love the intricate sleeves and top! Do note that because of the crochet top, it does run a little small, I recommend sizing up!

Also, pardon the tag hanging out at the bottom! It's not a price tag, but a pesky fabric/care tag that is a little longer than the hem! I didn't notice it until I started uploading the photos. Don't you hate when that happens?! 

Rebecca Minkoff Fall Wish List

If you've been following me for awhile, you probably already know my obsession with Rebecca Minkoff handbags! I love the classic shapes embellished with tassels and bold hardware that are trendy yet still neutral enough to be worn with EVERYTHING. A few RM bags are closet staples, like the Mini MAC, that stays current from season to season. I am obsessing over the suede styles this year along with the hobo shape that is huge for fall. Each season I can't help but round up my current RM wish list bags.

I've been a little MIA lately as I've been practically living in my classroom getting it ready for the new school year! While my mind is on fall and the start of school, the weather is still on summer time, with temps reaching in to the 100s. While I am excited to wear my boots and scarves, I am wanting to soak up every minute of the summer sunshine and my denim cutoffs! 

This sweet off the shoulder tassel top is my jam. It's perfect for hot summer days and would also be perfect vacation wear! The best part? It's currently on sale for under $8!! What a steal!
