I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I'm back from a mini vacation and spent the day trying to cross things off my to-do list. A few quick snapshots of what I wore today...a pretty blouse, oxfords and sailor inspired shorts that had me wanting to shout "Ahoy!" allllll day. Yeah...I would....

Memorial day weekend is finally here! A weekend I wait all year for as it signals the start of summer: warm weather, late sunsets, bbq's and iced coffee:] One piece of clothing mandatory for this monumental weekend? A little white dress, or LWD. Unfortunately, when perusing my closet yesterday for my very own LWD, I only came across one. The problem? It’s 4 years old and makes me look like I’m 12. How is this the only LWD I own, when it is such a summer staple?? Rather than forego wearing my LWD to usher in summer, I added a denim crochet vest, Minnetonka fringe moccasin boots and lots of jewelry for an updated look from 2008 to 2012. 

So, what I'm craving now?! A new LWD. Prerequisites? Light, flowy and perfect for any summer outing.

Yesterday was a boyfriend chic sort of day. There is just something about looking as if you dressed straight out of your boyfriend’s closet. I paired this larger button up with mint skinnies (obsessed!) and wedges for a feminine touch.

Awhile back I posted about searching for a classic blazer. I am happy to report that I have succeeded! I purchased this little black number from Nordstroms and it has become one of my staples. Yesterday, I threw it on over a plain tank and skinny jeans to create a more sophisticated look for running errands. The lace oxfords definitely added the perfect touch to complete this outfit :]

Yesterday was another chilly spring day. While I am ready for sunshine and shorts, I wasn't too sad as the gloomy day gave me a chance to wear my favorite black wedge booties.

As mentioned, I just graduated from college and moved back home....yeah...I know. I am in the process of cleaning and trying to figure out where to put all of my stuff, as my sister took over my room when  I moved away. This process is a nightmare! I have too many things and too little space! Anyways, while unpacking all of my clothes, I unearthed these patterned leggings I purchased 2 years ago and have never worn. I am obsessed with patterned leggings lately and thought I would give them a try.

Yesterday I went to see The Avengers with my boyfriend and little brother...andddd I loved it!! It was a chilly spring Sunday, so I opted for some colored skinnys (of course), a lightweight sweater and my favorite necklace. I wore my sperry's to add the perfect springy touch. I LOVE these shoes. They are the most comfortable pair I own! After rummaging through my sisters closet, I found this purse I got a few years back and decided to use it because of it's size so I could sneak candy in of course!

Blogging while student teaching didn't really happen....oops! Early mornings, lesson planning, the Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) and interacting with adorable kiddos all day was exhausting but an amazing and rewarding experience. I officially wrapped up my student teaching, graduated and moved home (oh goodness....) and now begin the job hunt in the real world.
