Wedding Week: Pinspiration

The first thing I did when I got engaged?? Headed over to pinterest and started pinning my little heart out! I was overwhelmed as I sifted through pin after pin of the big details (venues) to every small inch (how to arrange utensils). I would see something, and think "OMG! I HAVE to do that!" but 5 minutes later find a pin of the same thing, but arranged or styled differently and automatically change my mind!

Don't get me wrong, Pinterest is one of the greatest things ever created! I came across so many cute details to include in my wedding that I would have never thought up were it not for Pinterest. However, Pinterest can have a dark side. My mind was going a million different ways with all of the different options that it was stressing me out! I had to remind myself to take a step back and reevaluate.

If I had to give you any advice, when it comes to Pinterest remember that it's your day! Pin your heart out and go crazy with pinspiration, but remember that your wedding is ultimately a day of sharing you and your future hubby's love. People are not going to care if you pin-inspired craft doesn't turn out exactly like the pin on your pin board! It's a reflection of you and your special person's love and THAT will be ultimately what they take away and remember!

With that being said, check out a few of my favorite pins that (loosely) inspired my wedding! And no, I still haven't perfected my perfect chalkboard writing for my signs...but hey, that's okay!

#NSALE Accessorize Me + Wedding Week!

First things first...I'm getting married on Saturday! I can't believe how quickly time has flown by and that the big day is already here! In honor of the wedding, I have deemed this week 'Wedding Week' on the blog! I will be sharing posts this week on my bridal shower, white dresses, pins that inspired me and my 2nd engagement photo shoot! To catch yourself up before the week starts, make sure to head over to read my engagement post here and see E and I's winter engagement shoot here! Stay tuned for wedding/engagement insight all week!

I know what you are thinking...ANOTHER Nordstrom post? Guilty! I can't stop shopping the sale as there are so many great pieces at so many great prices! I think what I love most about the Nordstrom sale is getting so many great deals on accessories. I much rather buy clothes than accessories, but when they are on sale for a steal of a deal, I have to pick up a few! Count me in for new designer hand bags and fall jewelry picks at a percentage off.

Designer Crush: Rebecca Minkoff + #WIWT Link Up!

If you are familiar with my blog, you know I have a MAJOR crush on Rebecca Minkoff bags. If you are looking to splurge on a classic shape that you will use every day, look no further than RM! My favorites tend to be the crossbody bags as they are just the right size for all of your necessities (wallet, keys, iPhone and sunnies). I've also purchased a few of the bigger totes and use them CONSTANTLY. What I love most about Rebecca Minkoff's is while they are a bit of a splurge, my favorite crossbody's are typically under $200, which is well worth it for a quality bag you will use daily! Find your own Rebecca Minkoff bag here...I promise you won't regret it!!

This week's blogger of the week from last week's link up is Alexa of Fabes Fashion! I've had a serious crush on floral rompers since last year, and Alexa's pretty blue Yumi Kim option might be my all time favorite! She styled it to perfection with light colored accessories and pink lips! This is definitely an outfit I want to re-create ASAP! You look beautiful, Alexa!

Dressed in Stripes with Mott 50

Dress: Mott 50 'Toni' Boatneck Dress c/o // Shoes: Dolce Vita // Hat: Mott 50 'Giselle' c/o // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Ring: Kendra Scott  //

Would you believe me if I told you this outfit was 50 UPF (ultraviolet protection factor)? Meaning I can wear this outfit out to the beach and look absolutely chic while protecting my skin from those harmful UV rays. It's the truth! Despite how adorable this outfit is, it's made with special ultraviolet protection that helps protect from the sun. Mott 50 is a fairly new company that offers "fashion-forward sun protective clothing in soft, lightweight fabrics." After wearing this dress for the past few weeks (yes, it has been on major repeat), I have become a huge Mott 50 fan! Not only is this dress comfortable, but it also has a flattering fit and can easily be transitioned into the fall with boots! I love knowing that I can wear this out in the heat of the day and my skin is also being protected from those harsh summertime rays! I'm not saying this is a good alternative to sunscreening, but rather an extra layer of protection!

One of my absolute favorite things about this dress, is it is so on trend with the stripe pattern! I am loving all striped dresses lately, from t-shirt to maxi dresses! Shop some adorable striped options here
