Today marks two weeks left of summer vacation! I will be heading in to the classroom this week to start setting up. I had to move rooms in June, so I have a lot of work ahead of me!! 

Sharing a rare Sunday post today in honor of the LAST DAY of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I will be perusing the website one last time to make sure I didn't miss any goodies! I remember being frustrated that I didn't buy a few items on sale last year as I ended up purchasing for full price later in the fall. Not falling to that this year! 

My outfit today consists of many sale items STILL IN STOCK! My favorite has to be this cold shoulder satin top that comes in two colors and is fully stocked in both! I tried this on when I visited Nordstrom last Monday and fell in love with the dusty pink color and pretty bow ties! This is one of those pieces that will transition perfectly from summer to fall and it's a fun date night top!

A little disclaimer...it's super smokey here due to a fire (that is actually quite far away), that is sending all the smoke our way. We have been blanketed in a cloud of smoke for just about a week now and I miss the blue sky and sunshine! While we shot my outfits for this week, the sun was completely orange, giving all of my photos an eery glow. You might see a few posts this week that look a little off in color and that is why!!

Hey friends! I hope you are enjoying your week! I took yesterday off to celebrate E and I's 2 year anniversary! It seems crazy to me that it has already been two year! This look includes some of my favorite Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finds. I now own this dress in 3 colors (see how I styled it this spring here), but when I saw this color combo, I knew it was perfect for fall! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen how I wore this dress for date night this summer. Today I'm sharing how I would easily wear this dress in the early fall. This is an outfit I will definitely be wearing to work! I love that I can easily add a cardigan and leggings when the weather gets cooler!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to the public today!! If you've been shopping the sale like I have, you know this year there are so many amazing deals! I am hoping to pick up a few more goodies today as they restock the sale for the public!

Side Slit Tank (Now: $19 // After Sale: ): I shared this tank on instagram and it was an instant fave. Nobody can turn down a basic tank! It's made of the dreamiest fabric that is SO SOFT! I love the length of this one because I can knot it up or wear it with leggings! I'm wearing a size small. 

SP Black Ripped High Waisted Skinny Jeans (Now: $39 // After Sale: $59): These are an Nsale STEAL! I'm wearing these jeans with just about every look below because they might be my new favorite pair of distressed denim. I was shocked at the under $40 price tag when I put them on. The fit is similar to one of my all time favorite pairs of jeans that are closer to $100. I ordered a size smaller than I usually do (wearing a size 24), because of the high waisted fit, and they fit like a glove. I also love the raw hem! 

Skagen Mesh Strap Watch (Now: $110 // After Sale: $165): My husband got me this watch for Christmas and I love it! It has a gorgeous rose gold face and a pretty silver mesh band. The mesh band is fairly dainty, but I love that it has a bigger face. Buy this as a gift to yourself...I promise you won't regret it :)

BlankNYC Moto Jacket (Now: $65 // After Sale: $98 ): I bought this jacket last year and wore it so much over the fall and winter!  It was perfect for layering and I loved styling it with dresses in the early fall last year! This years is identical except where mine has silver hardware, this one has gold which I LOVE! The fit of this jacket is perfection! I ordered a size small so I could layer with sweaters in the winter! If you don't plan on layering, size down!

Thermal Top (Now: $25 // After Sale: $38): A soft slouchy top you will want to wear on repeat. This comfy cozy piece comes in a few colors and I wouldn't mind owning them all! It has a flattering fit and is so soft! This does run large and I might have preferred an XS but went for a small for that oversized fit!

I will swap out my distressed denim for the AG's and wear this outfit to work! This sweater is quiet a bit oversized...I'm wearing an XS.

It comes in 3 colors, but let me tell you that the french grey is even more gorgeous in person! This bag is made of the most high quality pebbled leather and is sure to be your go to handbag for years to come.

Lace Trim Satin Cami (Now: // After Sale: ): Run, don't walk to buy this cami! Trust me, you won't regret it! This is such a pretty piece to wear alone or layer up with a cardi or moto jacket. It comes in 3 colors, and I only got the black and the gorgeous emerald green, but you better believe I'm getting the white as soon as it's restocked! I'm wearing an XS!

Topshop Stripe Colorblock Cardi (Now: // After Sale: ): Chances are you've seen this cardi around. It was actually the first thing I ordered on a whim at 1am in the morning when the sale opened early access and it's basically been sold out ever since. I'm hoping they restock this cozy cardi because it really is as good as you think it is. So soft and perfectly oversized, this will be my go to in the winter time! It runs VERY oversized! I'm wearing a US 2.

Free People Electric City Pullover Sweater (Now: $65 // After Sale: $98): You know those pieces of clothing that you have in your wardrobe that you always fall back on?! The ones you always put on when you have nothing to wear and you feel like a million bucks? Enter this sweater! I can already foresee that this is going to get a lot of wear in the upcoming months! This cozy sweater could be a little more oversized...I'm wearing an XS and almost wish I would have gone with a small for a more oversized fit.

BlankNYC Suede Moto Jacket (Now: // After Sale: ): One of my most worn pieces from the sale last year, I couldn't recommend this jacket enough! The quality is amazing and it's thick enough that I could easily pair it with a sweater in the winter and stay warm enough for date night! The colors available this year are GORGEOUS...the grey is on my wishlist if it comes back in stock! I ordered a small for layering purposes!

Free People 'Perfectly Victorian' Mini Dress (Now: $110 // After Sale: $168 ) I own this dress in not one, not two, but three colors now. But do you blame me?? The moment I saw this gorgeous fall color combo I had to get it! I wear these dresses year round, pairing them with tights, boots and sweaters in the fall and winter. They are gorgeous, airy little pieces that are perfect for the summer too! This dress is available in 3 stunning colors. I'm wearing an XS.

BP Slipdress (Now: $32 // After Sale: $49): The moment I got this dress (literally), I ripped off the tags and wore it out the door for date night! This is the perfect transition dress...I even did a whole post sharing how I would transition it from summer to fall which you can check out here! I love that it has adjustable straps and the color is just perfect for fall! It also comes in a gorgeous floral print! I'm wearing a size XS.

Lush V-Neck Tee (Now: $16 // After Sale: $24): I purchased this tee in multiple colors, and is definitely a must have from the sale! A few people mentioned it running large, but I like a slightly oversized tee so I can tuck it or knot it. Size up if you want that slouchy fit! I'm wearing a small. 

AG Jeans (Now: $150 // After Sale: $225 ): I've wanted these jeans for awhile and finally decided to make the splurge and I am so glad I did!! These jeans are definitely worth it...no wonder everybody raves about them! They fit like a glove, are super comfortable, and as much as I love distressed denim, the non-distressing allows me to wear these to work! I ordered a size 25.

BP Cardigan (Now: $32 // After Sale: $49): For two years in a row, this cardi has stole the show. It's a steal of a deal at under $35, that you might as well pick up one, two or five colors! I bought it in two colors last year and wore them SO much! The length makes them perfect for layering with dresses, tights and boots in the winter time! 

Scarf (Now: $16 // After Sale: $25): The color combo on this scarf is even prettier in person! It's lightweight too, so it's perfect for early fall when it's chilly, but just not cold enough to pull out your coat!

Tunic Sweater (Now: $30 // After Sale: $45 ): I'm not sure how this sweater is still almost fully stocked in all sizes. If only you could feel how incredibly soft it is! This is another sweater that is perfect for work and the weekend. Who doesn't love a versatile piece?? I'm wearing a size small and love the oversized fit. 

Buffalo Check Scarf (Now: $16 // After Sale: $25): A cozy plaid scarf is one of my fall essentials and this one is one of my favorites! I love that it's not so oversized it looks ridiculous on and you can actually move your neck while wearing it! It doesn't hurt that it's also SUPER soft! It comes in a black and white combo too!

BlankNYC Ripped Skinny Jeans (Now: $59 // After Sale: $88 ): This brand makes some of my favorite denim and this pair does not disappoint! The quality of these jeans is amazing! I love the darker wash and the fit is perfect for my 5'3 frame. If you are a little taller, these will be a perfect cropped fit for wearing with booties! I'm wearing a size 25.

BP Pocket Tee (Now: $19 // After Sale: $29): I stock up on these long sleeve tee's every year because they are the PERFECT long sleeve tee and you can't beat the price! They come in multiple colors and are an easy piece to layer when the temps drop! They aren't super thick, so they also work well now on a chillier summer evening with a pair of shorts! They do run super oversized, I'm wearing an XS! 

Zella Live In High Waisted Leggings (Now: $36 // After Sale: $54): I get a pair of these every year and they definitely live up to their name! I live in these leggings all year round, wearing them to work, lounge around the house and workout! The higher waist makes them super comfortable and the quality rivals my Lululemon's! They do run a bit big, so size down - I'm wearing an XS.

This color is the greystone, but it's definitely green! They also come in black! I'm wearing a small, but need to size down to an XS as they run a bit big!

This cutie is available in 3 colors and is perfect to wear NOW. I've worn this a few times this summer and love pairing it with denim cutoffs or white pants! I'm wearing a size small!

These might be one of my favorite pair of boots EVER, and that's saying a lot! These are available in 3 colors, but I knew I would get a ton of wear out of the golden caramel color! They have the perfect heel height and I love that they are just below the knee! I will wear these to work and on the weekend! They fit true to size...I purchased a size 7! 

 Kristin Cavallari 'Capri' Mule (Now: $80 // After Sale: $120 ) 

I've had these mules in the caramel suede since December and wear them SO frequently that when I saw they were a part of the sale I had to snatch them up in another color! These are my go to shoes when I don't know what to wear! These cuties are so comfortable that I can last a whole day at work on my feet with out any discomfort! They come in 3 colors and I might need the black too! I ordered a size 7, my regular size.  This super similar pair is also a part of the sale and I've heard rave reviews on them! They are $20 cheaper! 

 Vince Camuto 'Karinta' Block Heel Booties (Now: $100 // After Sale: $150 )

These opened toed booties are not only comfortable, but have gorgeous detailing too! I know I will be wearing these all fall long, but have already worn them to dinner with a dress! They come in 3 colors and as much as I wanted to taupe, I bought the grey instead (I already have 5 pairs of taupe booties!) and I am so glad I did! This color is gorgeous! I got my regular size, a size 7! 

Hinge Block Heel Booties (Now: $80 // After Sale: $120): A comfy classic pair of booties that will go with everything! Wear these with a dress or your favorite denim now and into the fall! I love the unique cutout and perforated detailing on the back! They come in multiple colors, but a taupe pair of shoes goes with everything! I purchased my regular size, size 7.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - 5 Fall Staples

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been in full swing for almost a week and I have spent a good chunk of time scouring the site for the best deals on new fall arrivals. In the fall, my wardrobe revolves around 5 staple pieces...riding boots, sweaters, plaid scarves, jackets and denim, so during the sale, I have been stocking up on these essentials to refresh my fall wardrobe. Below, I have rounded up some of my FAVORITE pieces from each category, making it easy for you to shop! Remember, the sale opens to the public on Friday at 12am so you can shop til you drop if you've been waiting! A lot of restocks will be happening at this time too, so keep checking back if you missed something you love so you are sure to snag it!

Who doesn't love a good pair of riding boots? For the past few years, I've invested in a great pair each year that will take me through the fall and winter. My riding boots must be durable to withstand lots of wear and be comfortable because I wear them to work so frequently when it is cold out! Riding boots are one thing I will always splurge on because of how much I wear them. Last year I bought these and it was the best decision ever. I wore them SO much last year and they are still in amazing condition! I don't really need a new pair this year, but these are currently sitting in my cart. Seriously, how perfect are they?!

From pullovers to cardigans, you can find me wearing a sweater most fall days. A sweater is often all I need in early fall, but I love that I can easily pile layers on under it as the seasons change and it gets even colder! There are so many sale options this year, especially ones with fun details like ruffles and bell sleeves! This is one of my favorite picks this year because it is unbelievably soft. I also picked up this one and it is great to wear now on those chillier summer evenings! 

My Nsale Sweater Picks 

There is no better way to stay nice and toasty in the fall than by pairing a scarf with your favorite tee and sweater! A scarf is also a great way to add a fun print or pop of color to your outfit. I live in comfy neutral pieces and a plaid scarf is just the thing I need to add a little interest to my look! I ordered this buffalo plaid option this year and it is so soft! You can't beat the $16 price tag either! And this might not be plaid...but this leopard scarf is SO cute!!

I'm not a fan of cold weather (despise is actually a better word to describe my feelings for the cold), as I get cold SO easily! In the fall and winter I feel like I have to pile on a million layers just to leave the house. Layering up is much easier and more fun when you have cute jackets to layer up with! It definitely makes the cold weather more manageable and even a little enjoyable (I'm not going to lie...super excited to pull out a few of my jacket purchases this fall!). I bought this suede jacket last year, but the color options this year are to die for! I think I might cave and get another!! I also love this cargo jacket...one of my fall staples for sure!

I know what you're thinking...denim?! Denim is a year round staple in any girl's wardrobe! BUT, this time of year I always start looking for a few great pairs to add to my wardrobe that I will wear all year long! The Anniversary Sale is a great time to stock up and save, and even get some of your fave designer denim at a discounted price! I love my distressed denim and those are honestly the pairs I am usually drawn to first, but a great pair of dark wash non-distressed jeans are a must as I can wear them to work! I splurged on this pair this year and love that I can wear them to work, but they still have a little distressing in the raw hem! These are my favorite pair purchased from the sale because the fit is AMAZING and they are under $60!
