capri BLUE & Me

A new school year is upon us and I am soaking up every last minute of my summer vacation. I've already headed back into my classroom to get the room ready for the kiddos and have had some meetings to plan and discuss the new year. The start to a new school year is so hectic and it takes some time to get back into my routine! Between teaching and blogging, it definitely feels like I have two full time jobs and it's important to remember to take "ME" time! 

I have ALWAYS been a fan of capri BLUE products. Their Volcano scent has been one of my signatures for years! That tropical fruit and sugared citrus is a blend like NO other. Infusing my day with capri BLUE products is an easy way to ensure I make a little time for myself each day! Today I am sharing my favorite capri BLUE products and how I use them throughout my day to make those crazy days much more enjoyable! 

My summer mornings start early. I love waking up, making a cup of coffee and reading a good book...something I don't get to do often during the school year. Lazy mornings spent in cozy pjs, wrapped up in blanket, are my FAVORITE. My capri BLUE reed diffuser in the Volcano scent is one of my morning must haves! The delicious citrus meets sugar scent is perfect for waking me up and getting me energized to start the day! 

Around mid-morning, after I've had breakfast, showered and dressed for the day, I'm ready to start being productive! In the summer, this mid-morning time is used for making to-do lists and planning blog content. My capri BLUE candle in the Volcano scent is a mainstay on my work desk! There is something about working with a candle that keeps me calm, cool and collected. I love the mercury candle bowl too...it's a gorgeous desk accessory! 

In August, I start heading into my classroom to get ready for the new school year. I often have meetings to attend, an open house and spend a TON of time in my classroom getting things organized for a new group of students. My capri BLUE hand cream goes from my bag to my desk. It's the small things in life, like using a luxurious, delicious smelling hand cream that puts a little pep in my step! I tried the Blue Jean scent and it might be my new favorite! I love the smell of this fresh linen blend! 

Is there anything better than a bubble bath after a jam-packed day of activities? A good bubble bath is the perfect way to wind down and end my day. This capri BLUE soap in the Volcano scent is my favorite way to pamper my skin. It smells AMAZING and is super hydrating and doesn't dry out my skin! 

Throughout my hectic day, there is nothing better than using capri BLUE products to infuse good vibes into my daily routine. The perfect way to take a minute to pamper myself with a heavenly scent and be ready to take on the rest of the day!!

A pair of cutoffs and a fun graphic tee makes for the perfect casual summer outfit. This is my go to ensemble for running errands, weekend bbq's and road trips to the lake. I can't even tell you how often I wear this tee. Not only is it super comfy, but it's got a pretty good message on it. Good vibes only! 

This tote is from Moo's Shop, my latest obsession. Mary Joan, the owner of Moo's, makes the most gorgeous straw beach bags, clutches, and tassels. I love that I can take this bag from the beach to running errands. It's the perfect size! It also comes in a ton of other colors! Next time I go on vacation, I will definitely be picking up another piece from Moo's shop, like this fun clutch.

New fall arrivals have been hitting online stores, giving me the itch to shop, but while fall is just around the corner, it's still over 100 degrees here! This makes wearing those new fall goodies just about impossible, unless you are up for sweating in your new sweater and boot combos! When browsing the new arrivals section at Nordstrom, I've been looking for pieces that I can wear now and transition easily into fall. Nordstrom has by far the best selection of trendy yet affordable items, and they get new arrivals DAILY. I recently picked up three tops and I don't have to wait for the weather to change to wear them! They are the perfect pieces to wear now and in the fall and all three are under $50!  

Lace Cami - This gorgeous lace cami is under $30 and comes in 4 colors. It's the perfect little tank to wear to date night on a hot summer night, but will be easy to transition to colder weather by pairing it with a cardi. My favorite way to wear a lacy cami in the fall and winter is paired with a pullover sweater so just a little lace peeks out! 

Lace Up Tee - The lace up trend was huge last year and it looks like it's here to stay! This tee give off "cool girl" vibes with it's deep v lace up and grommet detailing. It's only $32 and comes in 6 great colors. Wear it now with shorts and layer it up in the fall. The lace up detailing gives a little something extra to your cardi and tee combo! 

Ruffle Bell Sleeve Top - Ruffles and bell sleeves? Yes please! This top has perfect flirty sleeves and a fun lace up detailing in the back. It's lightweight enough that you can wear it now, but pair it with jeans, boots and a draped vest (like this one) in the fall!

Instagram Round Up - What I've Been Wearing this Summer

Happy Monday friends! 

I can't believe that we are already well into August! I feel like this summer has FLOWN by! I also feel like I've dedicated a ton of time to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this summer! While I love all of the fall goodies, I am still enjoying every minute of summer! Today I thought I would round up some of my favorite (none #nsale) instagram photos from this summer so you can see what I've been wearing!

I got the chance to head over to Nordstrom at Southcenter and check out the new style bar and style board services!  The style bar stylists were SO sweet and helped me pick out this outfit that was perfect for date night! I never would have tried this distressed denim jacket if the stylists hadn't pulled it for me and I am so glad she did! I am obsessed!
