Yellow Cardigan and the Perfect Sunnies

Monday...we meet again. I don't know about you, but my weekend FLEW by! I feel like if the weekend was just oneee day longer, I would be more prepared to start my work week...anybody else agree? 

Throwing on a great pair of sunglasses is one of my favorite ways to complete an outfit when I head out the door! My Karen Walker sunnies are usually my go to, but another brand I have been eyeing lately is Retrosuperfuture. Their unique and trendy designs make for the perfect finishing touch. Who doesn't love a great pair of sunnies? 

I have been obsessed with yellow lately! It's one of my favorite colors for fall! Not only is this cardi from ASOS yellow, but it is SO SOFT! I also love the fuller sleeves! Throwing on a cozy cardigan over denim and a basic tee or tank is an effortless way to stay comfy but still look cute! If you are looking for a great pair of denim, these Levis are my latest obsession. The boyfriend fit makes them SO comfortable and I love the distressing!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I've been all about the cozy cardigans lately! Despite the heat, it's been cooling off in the evening and I'm finding it necessary to reach for a cardigan when heading out the door! Light-weight options are perfect for layering, providing a little warmth but not overdoing it! This cardi is the ULTIMATE light weight option! It's incredibly soft and I love the slightly slouchy fit allowing it to be worn on or off the shoulders. Is there anything better than a weekend that just keeps on going?! With the 4th of July falling on a Tuesday this year, the festivities have stretched into a long 4 day weekend and I don't mind! I've spent the past two days at the lake and came home today while the husband works, but we are headed back tomorrow. I love living just 30 minutes from summer paradise! 

When I spotted this romper, I put it in my cart immediately! It's been perfect for 4th of July fun and I know I will be wearing it all summer long! It's a pretty fun little piece to add to your closet this season, especially with it's under $25 price tag!

Happy Monday friends!

Today is my last day with my sweet firsties! I am excited to start my summer vacation, but I'm definitely going to miss this group of kiddos. It's so bittersweet saying goodbye! Year after year I always think it will get a little easier, but it never does. After spending 180 days with these cuties, they definitely leave an imprint on your heart! 

With summer break comes more time to spend on the blog! I am finally done with my procert too and am going to be able to devote more time to my posts! I am excited to get back to a more normal blogging schedule!! 

Gingham has been EVERYWHERE recently and I am loving it! The moment I saw this top, I knew it would be the perfect piece of gingham to add to my summer wardrobe! Off the shoulder, ruffles and gingham?? Sold!

Hey friends! 

I've been MIA this week dealing with the craziness that is the end of the school year. We have 18 days left and I still have SO much to do! My day consists of getting up at 5am, getting to work by 6:45am, leaving school around 3:30ish (depending on the day) running errands and then plopping down in front of my computer to work on my pro-teach portfolio (a teacher re-certification process). I am already dreaming of my lazy summer days ahead! 

I've share this cutie top on instagram a few times! I love the pretty pink, the detailing on the top and the little ruffle on the sleeves. It's perfect for this time of year when the weather is all over the place! Pair it with jeans for a chillier spring day and swap them out for shorts when the weather is warmer!

I can't wait to catch up on my sleep and be re-united with this cozy off the shoulder sweater...currently one of my favorite pieces to throw on during the weekend. Not only can it easily be dressed up, but I also love pairing it with leggings for couch lounging on a dreary Sunday.
