Becoming the Garza's: Getting Ready

Today marks E and I's one year anniversary! I can't believe we have been married for a whole year! While I shared our engagement story and pictures here and here, I never shared our wedding photos! This week in honor of our one year anniversary, I will be sharing our photos in a few installments! Today, are some getting ready photos! I'm leaving it short and simple today, but will fill you in on some of the wedding details on Wednesday!

Summer is the only time I actually wouldn't mind just skipping over Friday and the weekend because it means I am one more week closer to my summer being over! Don't get me wrong, I am so excited to start a new school year, but it's definitely hard to say goodbye to the freedom and the warm weather that comes with summer! 

Every girl needs a little white dress in her wardrobe! I've said this too many times, but there is nothing better than throwing on a cute LWD for a summer date night or girl's night out! This sweet crochet number from Poshsquare is a great find. The scalloped hemline, nude lining and crochet overlay combine to make the perfect summer dress that is very versatile! Paired with some heels and a clutch, you are ready for date night, but a change of accessories makes this dress perfect for any summer occasion. 

I styled this dress with a girl's night out in mind! Adding some fun lace up sandals and a suede jacket elevated this dress to an edgier level. If you wanted to kick up another notch, a leather jacket would be another great touch! This look would be perfect for dinner, drinks and dancing with your BFF's!

I am OBSESSED with this fun dress. One shoulder, tassels and embroidery makes for a fun summer mini perfect for date night. It also would make for the perfect vacation dress...definitely packing this the next time I go somewhere tropical! The only issue I have with this dress is how easily it wrinkles! These wrinkles occurred after a short drive before dinner. Is that going to stop me from wearing it in the future? No way! Nothing a good steam couldn't fix!
