The Most Versatile Dress

Today's post is in collaboration with Nordstrom. All opinions are my own!
Look 1: Dress (comes in 7 colors!) // Striped Scarf // Olive Loafers // Karen Walker Sunnies // Similar Bag

Look 2: Dress // Denim Jacket // Sneakers // Bag // Sunnies

Now that a new school year is in full swing and fall is just around the corner, I've been looking for easy to layer pieces that I can take from work to the weekend. Nordstrom is always my first stop when shopping for their daily new arrivals and wide variety of options. I also love their varying price points, making it easy for any one to find something they love!

The moment I saw this dress, I snatched it up in a few colors, knowing it was the perfect piece to take me from work to the weekend. At under $50, this easy shift dress is great for dressing up or down and layering as the weather changes. It's comfortable and easy to throw on for a day in the classroom. As the weather changes, I plan on layering it with lightweight scarves and cardigans and loafers and booties. I love the ease of this dress...who doesn't love effortless outfits on long workdays?

Add a denim jacket and some sneakers to this cutie and you are ready for the weekend! It makes for the perfect combo for running errands or even a day date!

Olive Denim

Happy Wednesday, babes! I am definitely feeling a mid-week slump as this is my first full week back to work and it just feels like it's creeping by. I've definitely thought today was Thursday more than once. Doesn't it feel like it should be Thursday??

When I saw my favorite jeans are now available in the perfect shade of olive green, I had to snag them! At under $100, these jeans are the perfect pair for fall and I love the busted knee look! I paired them with a cute striped peplum top for an easy weekend look. This peplum tee is the SOFTEST thing I have ever felt and under $30!

I hope you are having a great week!

How to Style a Pinafore Dress

Today's post is in collaboration with Nordstrom. All opinions are my own!

Look 1: Striped Tee ($20!) // Pinafore Dress // Booties // Bag // Sunnies // Similar Watch

Look 2: Top // Pinafore Dress // Sneakers // Bag // Sunnies

If you've followed me for awhile, you know I am just a little obsessed with overalls. That's why the moment I saw this pinafore dress, I had to have it! It's such a fun piece to add to your fall wardrobe as you can wear it now and easily transition it as the seasons change! I have been SO excited to see this trend make it's way into fall fashion! While browsing the Nordstrom site, I noticed pinafores in different fabrics and patterns throughout the new arrivals section. They are ALWAYS on top of the latest trends and I will definitely be adding a few more pinafores to my wardrobe this season thanks to Nordstrom (obsessing over this embroidered option and this unique velvet pick).

Today I wanted to share TWO ways to wear a pinafore dress. This classic denim option is a perfect way to bring the trend into you fall wardrobe. I promise this is a piece you will get a ton of wear out of!

Look 1 - This is an easy way to style a pinafore for work in the fall! A basic striped tee (this one is only $20!) and a pair of booties makes for a cute and easy outfit that is also the perfect base for layering when the weather gets cooler. In late fall, I would definitely pair this with tights, riding boots a scarf and cardigan!

Look 2 - A pinafore can be a perfect laid back piece for the weekend! Pair it with some sneakers and a cozy sweater or sweatshirt for an effortless throw on and go look. This sweatshirt is SO comfortable and ridiculously soft. I also can't get enough of those oversized sleeves!

Fall Essentials - My Must Have Neutrals

Today's post is in collaboration with Nordstrom. All opinions are my own!

Happy Thursday friends! Yesterday was my first day back in the classroom! As much as I loved it, I forget how totally exhausted I am after being back with the kiddos! I have the greatest group this year and know it's going to be a great school year!

The start of school definitely means fall is ALMOST here! While it's still warm, there is a crispness in the air, the leaves are slowly starting to turn and it's almost sweater weather! I've been stocking up on new fall pieces that I can wear now and transition into cooler weather! Free People is one of my go to brands for new seasonal pieces as they have the best neutrals that often come in a variety of colors. One of the reasons I LOVE shopping at Nordstrom is their wide variety of brands, like Free People, making them my one stop shop for all things fall! When shopping for fall, I am all about the basics, looking for neutral pieces that can be styled many different ways and layered up!

Chunky Knit Sweaters: I LIVE in cozy sweaters from September to March. I love chunkier knits because I can layer them easily and they are the perfect alternative to a jacket when the weather cools down. This cozy cardi has been my favorite lately! Despite the knit, it's heavier than expected and will be my go to all fall and winter long!

Comfy T-shirts: I'm all about comfort, and in the fall and winter a t-shirt is often my base layer, so it obviously needs to be comfy! This one comes in 5 colors and I want them all!! Not only is it ridiculously soft, but I adore the key-hole cutout which adds a cool touch that will be perfect peaking from under a sweater or cardi!

Distressed Denim: A great pair of distressed jeans is one of my year round must haves! I absolutely LIVE in this pair, and the best part? They come in multiple washes (see the widget below!) and are under $100! Pair your favorite distressed denim with sandals or mules now and booties and OTK boots when the season changes!
