Flirty Red Dress

There is nothing better than a little red dress. There is just something about a bright red number that boosts my confidence and makes me feel like a million bucks. I was never a huge fan of red, but recently fell in love when I discovered the confidence boosting powers this fierce color can hold.

This little red number is the ultimate LRD. It's off the shoulder, but what I adore most are the flirty frilly details around the neck and shoulders. I've been loving simpler styling, with minimalistic jewelry and love that this dress looks fabulous with just a printed clutch and a pair of lace up sandals. This is definitely my new date night dress!

How to Wear Overalls: Dressed Up Overalls + WIWT Link Up

Overalls: Free People (Brady wash) // Top: Lush, just bought this one //
Shoes: Similar, more heeled sandal options here //
Necklace: Taudrey // Sunnies: Illesteva // Clutch: Clare V. //

For part 3 of my How to Wear Overalls Series (part 1 || part 2), I'm sharing a dressier option that's not TOO dressy! I wore a similar look last week that featured a sequined jacket. Without the jacket, this look is still chic and perfect for a laid back night out.

This top was one of my favorite fall purchases that I still wear frequently. It's such a great top to dress up or down and it goes with EVERYTHING. I recently got this version which will be perfect for warmer temps this spring and summer and would work just as well paired with overalls!

Recreate this look with any blouse, heeled sandals and fun clutch!
PS pardon the weird marks on my feet...I had lace up wedges on before these...does this ever happen to anyone else?! Haha

Turtlenecks + Winter White

Sweater: Nordstrom (on sale!) // Pants: Similar here // Shoes: Nordstrom // Clutch: Clare V. //

Two of my favorite trends this winter? Chunky knit turtlenecks and winter white! Who says you can't wear white after labor day?? I have been keeping my white skinnies on rotation all winter long and know they will continue to be a wardrobe staple of mine throughout the year. A great pair of white skinnies is an essential piece to any wardrobe! Another staple? A good turtleneck sweater. Turtlenecks are no longer a wardrobe faux-pas, but rather a chic winter statement that will keep you warm even on the chilliest days!

This weeks blogger of the week from last weeks linkup is Riva of Riva La Diva. Riva's dress is gorgeous, but the best part about it? She MADE it! This is a new blogger I am so happy to have discovered! Riva's blog is filled with DIY gold. So many amazing outfits and accessories paired with step by step instructions for how to make it yourself! Definitely a blogger you will want to check out!

School Days: Holiday Wear

Dress: c/o Julie Brown Designs // Jacket: c/o SheIn // Clutch: Clare V. // Shoes: BP 'Trolley' //

The most wonderful time of year is quickly approaching! I don't know about you, but as the holidays draw nearer, my outfits get progressively more festive! Not only am I looking for pieces to wear to holiday parties and festive outings, but also pieces to add little bits of holiday cheer into my everyday work wardrobe! One simple way to get festive is to add a pop of red or green. I fell in love with this jacket the moment I laid eyes on it and knew it would be perfect for the holidays (the quality is pretty great, too!). I wore it over a simple shift dress for work, but love that by changing out the shoes this would be perfectly appropriate for a holiday party!

This dress comes from Julie Brown Designs and fits like a dream. I fell in love with Julie Brown Designs last year when I wore this little striped number here. I absolutely adore the easy to wear pieces in this collection that transition easily from work to after hours. I am excited to share more holiday inspired outfits with Julie Brown Designs in the coming weeks!
