It's only Tuesday, but I am counting down the minutes until the weekend!! In honor of my two favorite days of the week, I am sharing my weekend uniform. Distressed skinny jeans, a comfy oversized tee and sneakers. I usually top with a cute coat or cardigan and I am good to go for a day of errands followed by dinner and a movie with the hubby.

I hope you had a relaxing weekend and are ready to take on a new week! 

I am sharing one of my FAVORITE recent purchases as of late. I've had this cutie fringe cardi on repeat since I got it. I love the mixed knit and the fun fringe hemline. I've been wearing this on the weekend with distressed denim, but wanted to share how I have worn it to work for a casual Friday. 

A pair of dark wash denim is a must have, especially if denim is allowed at your job. Dark wash tend to be the easiest to dress up and are extremely versatile. These Mott & Bow skinny jeans are my new favorites. I haven't had a pair of jeans fit THIS good in a long time! The great thing about Mott & Bow is you can order two sizes (for the price of 1!) if you are unsure of your sizing, try them on at home, and send back the ones that don't work with the free pre-paid label. Yes, it's that easy! I can't rave enough about these jeans either. They are well made, comfortable and reasonably priced! 

I paired my dark wash skinny jeans with a basic white tank and this fringe cardi for a cute but still chic laid back work look. These mules have been my go to lately (they are SO comfortable) and are perfect for work! Add a few pieces of dainty jewelry, and your good to go! Adding a cardi coat to your wardrobe this winter is a must! There is nothing easier or cozier to throw on and go. I've been wearing this cutie non-stop. For chilly days, this is the perfect "coat" for heading out to run errands. I'm also looking forward to taking this on trips as it is the perfect piece for travel whether you are flying or road tripping. 

Keeping it short and sweet today because it's Thursday! I don't know about you, but I am worn out from a long week and so ready for the weekend! Friday's just around the corner though. We've got this, friends!!

Blush & Ruffles for Work with Marks and Spencer

Updating my work wardrobe is something I do seasonally. It's always fun to add a few pieces into the rotation to keep things fresh! When updating, I usually try and look for neutral pieces that are easy to mix and match and a piece or two that are on trend for the season. I also look for pieces that I can easily transition from work to the weekend. 

For the New Year, I spent some time perusing the Marks and Spencer website for some fresh work wear. I have recently become obsessed with Marks and Spencer! They have a wide variety of clothing, accessories and shoes for your entire family (not to mention an entire home goods section) all at varying price points. I found so many goodies while shopping, that I already plan on placing a second order! These grey skinnies were the first item I added to my cart. You can't go wrong with a great pair of grey pants...they literally go with everything! This ruffle top is the perfect mix of classic meets trendy. I love the fit, but what sold me was the subtle ruffles which are so on trend this season! I have been wearing this cozy pink coat with EVERYTHING lately. Blush has definitely been one of my go to colors this season. My favorite part of this entire look though, has to be these suede wedge booties. These are the perfect shoes for teaching because they give me a little heel, but are ridiculously comfortable, which is great when you are on your feet all day! I'm stepping out of my recent neutral phase for this gorgeous mustard sweater. When I don't know what to wear, blacks skinnies and a bright sweater are fail proof, no matter the season. This chunky  knit sweater is cozy and cute. I adore the subtle detail and the fun, blousy sleeves. I've noticed a few sweaters this season in this gorgeous color and want to add them all to my wardrobe!

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you had a great 3 day weekend! I always enjoy weekends, but this weekend was bitterly cold and I caught a cold, making me wish I had an extension to my weekend. 3 more days would be perfect, please! We went to shoot TWICE this weekend, but both times didn't work out so well. I think the universe was trying to tell me to just take the weekend off. 

This is an outfit I wore last weekend, and have already re-worn it twice. This oversized sweater is PERFECT for the under 20 degree weather we have been having. I can layer a long sleeve top under it (or maybe two) and stay perfectly cozy all day long. Oversized sweaters have been saving my life this winter. Guys, it is SO cold. I am so over it. Spring, please!!
