Winter Knits

My winter break is officially over and I am back to work today.

I'm not going to lie, I will miss lazy, relaxed days of staying in my pjs until noon and binge watching my favorite shows, however, it will be good to get back to the grind. 

I feel recharged and refreshed and ready to take on the new year!

Winter has fully arrived here, with consistent snow showers and temps below 20. I have been all about layering soft knit sweaters, long sleeve tees and chunky scarves. When you have a sweater as cute as this one from PB&J Boutique, layering is made easy. This sweater might be one of the softest I have ever owned, and it's perfectly oversized, so you can sneak a long tee in for an extra layer of warmth.

Best of 2016

I can't believe 2016 is coming to a close!

2016 was a pretty chill year after a crazy 2015.

I traveled to Arizona, California and Mexico.

I went to Disneyland not once, but twice (it's my favorite place!).

Celebrated one year of marriage with E.

Started my third year of teaching.

I am excited to see what adventures 2017 has in store!

I have been obsessed with velvet all season long. I think it's such a fun trend for winter and there are so many tops, dresses, and even pants in this fabric making it easy to incorporate into your wardrobe! The moment I tried on this sweet slip dress from Antique Garden, I knew I had a NYE contender. This flirty little dress has the cutest floral print in the prettiest purple and blue color combo. I paired it with a moto jacket for a cool night out look, but think it would be just as cute layered with a long sleeve top underneath and OTK boots!
