Caring Cowls - GIVEAWAY! {CLOSED}

Happy September 1st! While I am so sad summer is over, I cannot wait to start dressing for fall. Jeans, boots, jackets and my all time favorite, a cozy cowl. Thats why I'm so excited to share this news with you today!

I met Sarah freshman year of college and we quickly became super close friends. Due to Sarah's job working with the elderly, she learned to crochet and started making cowls. I fell in love with them and had her make me a quite a few in a variety of colors. These cowls are amazing as they are warm, have a great fit, are machine washable, and are absolutely adorable. I literally wear mine ALL the time in the fall/winter as they have become one of my staples. I'm sure they will make frequent appearances on the blog this year!

Recently, Sarah decided to put her crochet skills to good use and started a donation fund called Caring Cowls (which will be selling more than cowls as the year progresses). Here is a little information about her vision:

Caring Cowls is a donation fund designed to support various charities and organizations. All proceeds from the cowls go to a charity in need (right now the American Red Cross). The Perfect T

It seems like I'm always on the hunt for the perfect v-neck. I've had so many grey v-neck's over the past few years it's not even funny. It doesn't seem like I ever discover the imperfections of one until the 3rd wash, either.

Situation: I purchase the PERFECT fitting v-neck. Take it home, wear it once, all is well. Until...DUN DUN DUN..I wash it. After the first wash, I notice the neck is stretched out weirdly or the t has shrunken completley. The love affair is now shattered.

Situation 2: I purchase the PERFECT fitting v-neck. Take it home, wear it AND wash it once, all is well. Until... DUN DUN DUN...the second wash. After the second wash, I notice the t has stretched out and is ridiculously ill-fitting. The love affair is now shattered. The t is out.

Situation 3: I purchase the PERFECT fitting v-neck. Take it home, wear it, wash it, wear it, wash it, and all is well. Until.... DUN DUN DUN...the third wash. After the third wash, I notice the fabric of the t is balled up and worn looking. The love affair is shattered. Time to buy a new t.

This was my life (I know, I know first world problems), until I happened upon this baby at Victoria's Secret PINK. I wasn't sure it was true love until I wore it after the 3rd wash...and now the 4th and 5th as well and it has proven itself reliable and wonderfully perfect. What's better? At $17.50 (or 2/$28), this essential v-neck comes in a variety of colors.

Am I saying YES to this T? YES. Ah true love ❤

This peachy/coral color has been my all time favorite this summer (you can see me rocking it HERE, HERE, HERE and even HERE). You can bet I will definitely be trying to bring it into my fall wardrobe as much as possible. I adored these peach skinnies, borrowed from my little sisters closet, paired with this whimsy, layered polka dot top from forever 21. Of course I would add my favorite shoes (I won't even give you the links to all the posts in which I wear them...it's embarrassingly frequent) and some turquoise and gold arm candy to finish things off.

A trend I've been obsessing over this summer? Tropical prints. I'm a little late at jumping on this bandwagon as the blogosphere has been blowing up with Tropical goodness all season, but better late than never!

I've been getting better at shopping in my own closet and have been bringing out so many oldies but goodies. This tropical print Hollister dress was my favorite 4 years ago, as I adored the print and comfy fit. I haven't worn this dress in probably 2 years and was excited to rediscover it this week. I liked the idea of putting a t over it and belting the ensemble. I decided to mix prints but stick to a similar color so the overall effect wasn't too obnoxious. Conclusion? I've found my new favorite tropical 'skirt'!
