To the Beach: Kimono Cover Up

Swimsuit: Top and Bottoms // Kimono: Nordstrom, similar here and here // Shorts: One Teaspoon // Bag: Nordstrom // Pom Keychain: ASOS, love this and this // Sunnies: Quay //

Happy Friday!
Anybody else looking forward to the weekend as much as I am??

This is one of the last posts from my recent trip to Cancun. This was probably one of my favorite beach combos I wore all week! I had been looking for a scalloped swimsuit for some time and when I found this adorable option (under $60 for both pieces!), I had to purchase it! I paired it with my favorite denim shorts and a sweet kimono.

If you are headed on a beach vacation any time I soon, I highly recommend picking up a kimono to take with you! It makes for the perfect swim cover up, but can also double as a light layer for evening wear! I am linking a few of my favorite options below!

Black Maxi Dress

Dress: c/o Impressions Boutique // Bag: c/o Hayden Reis // Necklaces: Cactus Necklace - Nordstrom (similar), Feather Lariat Necklace c/o Alexandra Gioia //
Shoes: ASOS // Hat: Nordstrom, similar here //
Every girl needs a black maxi dress in her wardrobe. It's a classic staple that can be styled a ton of different ways, but still looks good just thrown on with some jewelry and sandals! I have a few black maxi's at my disposal and they are always the first thing I reach for in the spring and summer time when I have no idea what to wear!

This option from Impressions Boutique's very own Meritt line is PERFECT. It has an extremely flattering fit with a high neckline. What truly makes this maxi great though...? POCKETS!
I actually wore this to work yesterday with a chambray button down and have also already paired it with a denim jacket. Cheers to the perfect (and most versatile) piece of clothing in my wardrobe!

Boho Off the Shoulder Top

Top: c/o HER Boutique // Shorts: BlankNYC // Shoes: ASOS // Bag: Sold out, similar here // Earrings: Bauble Bar //
The countdown to summer break has officially begun!
We are almost in the teens, guys!
This teacher is excited for a relaxing summer with days at the lake, especially after a hectic summer of wedding planning last year!

The weather has been a little iffy lately, going from 80's to 60's and back again, making the daily process of getting ready a little difficult, but I've pulled out my summer staples and they aren't going anywhere until September!

This top from HER Boutique is definitely going to be a repeat offender this summer! I am obsessed with the off the shoulder style, the fun print and the tassel ties...3 of my favorite things all mixed into one! Paired with some cutoff shorts and a pair of gladiator sandals, this is a look that screams easy, breezy summertime!

Floral and Lace Kimono

Kimono: The Eve Overlay in Key Largo Floral c/o Impressions Boutique // Top: Nordstrom // Shorts: BlankNYC // Shoes: Dolce Vita // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff //
Today's look is one of my FAVORITE combinations! You can find me in some form of this outfit at least once a week during the summertime! A tee and denim shorts paired with a kimono is an effortlessly easy look that can be dressed up or down. It's perfect for traveling or for a date night depending on the accessories you pair with it! I could definitely see myself wearing this on an upcoming road trip with sandals and jeans (or even leggings).

This kimono comes from Impressions Boutique. I have been shopping there for awhile now, and was so excited to see that they started carrying Merritt, an exclusive in-house brand. All of the pieces are extremely versatile and perfect for spring and bonus? They are totally affordable! While shopping the site I noticed the even had these fabulous shorts!
