There are a few things I have been loving lately...flirty hemlines and mixing my absolute brightest pieces. This outfit is a prime example of my two obsessions! I had forgotten how fabulous a good drop waist dress could be until recently. Now I've been wearing them like crazy! This dress from Chicwish is so fun. The bright color and fun hemline make it easy to dress up or down. I wore it with chunky heels, a statement necklace, denim jacket and embroidered clutch for a more laid-back Sunday date, but love that I can change it up for a more chic look with strappy sandals, a more neutral bag and necklace.
Another thing I've been absolutely obsessed with?? Embroidered bags! Star Mela makes the ABSOLUTE cutest bags I have ever seen. I love the bright colors, mix of threads and fabrics and the intricate details of each one. You definitely need to check out Star Mela for a fun piece to add to your summer collection!
Now that summer is quickly approaching and sunshine and warm weather are upon us, I am eagerly getting dressed in the morning. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good pair of boots and cozy scarf like any girl, but it is SO hard to get up and get dressed in the morning in the winter knowing no matter what I put on, I am going to be cold. I am a summer girl through and through! Things are so much simpler in the summertime, including getting dressed! I can throw on light-weight pieces, not having to stress about layering up, and bright colors and sunshine are in abundance. Can you tell I am just a tad excited??
I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of distressed skinnies and I hit the jackpot with these from Blank NYC! I am not sure how I have never heard about them before, but they have quickly become my favorite denim brand. The best part?? They are a total score at under $100! In fact, most of the Blank NYC denim line is under $100! They are so comfortable, I love the wash and distressing and the fit is perfect (I ordered my typical denim size!). They have already been on repeat this past week and you can plan for them to be repeat offenders around here! I absolutely loved the laid back look of them paired with this embroidered off the shoulder top, bright clutch and wedges!
Nope! You aren't having deja vu! You have seen this dress around these parts before! In fact, it was less than a week ago that I shared this dress as one of my Mexico vacation outfits! I told you I have been wearing it a lot!
Now, let's be real. Who isn't a repeat offender when it comes to clothing? If you invest in a piece, chances are that you are planning on wearing it again and again....and again. As fun as it would be to have a brand new outfit every single day, it's not realistic. Real women wear and re-wear and part of the fun is mixing and matching to style old pieces in new ways. Now I may not have gone crazy with re-styling this dress, as I just added a denim jacket and changed out the shoes (which are my all time favorite piece to repeat in my wardrobe!), but the point is that even though you don't always see me repeat on the blog, repeating in real life is a must and a given!
You also may have noticed my obsession with Rebecca Minkoff. Her crossbody bags are the perfect size and come in a wide variety of styles and fun colors. I think the thing I like the most about Rebecca Minkoff crossbody's is that while they are a pricier purchase, they still won't break the bank and it's a classic style that you are sure to get tons of wear out of!
I hope you don't mind that I am being a huge repeat offender today, but I think I will try and share a few more of my favorite repeats on the blog more often!

My link-up of the week from last week is the gorgeous Sofia of Stylishly in Love! I absolutely adore Sofia's chic pairing of a pencil skirt, heeled sandals and a stunning floral off the shoulder top! This outfit has definitely inspired me to try something similar this spring! Thanks Sofia!

I absolutely fell in love with this sweet dress from Monica's Closet Essentials (shopMCE) the moment I put it on! It's one of those pieces that looks okay on the hanger, but is magic once on. I love the fun, bright aztec print that will be so fun come the summertime. It is an easy print to accessorize with, and I have already worn it a a few times paired with differed layered necklaces. To really play up the aztec print, I paired it with a fringe statement necklace, some silver cuffs, and a floppy hat. The best thing about this dress? It's totally work appropriate! After wearing it last weekend, on Monday I paired it with a denim jacket and was ready to head into my classroom. I love versatile pieces!
