Vacation Maxi

Dress: Tobi (Old! I've linked some of my favorite ombre options below!)
Necklace: ilycouture
Shoes: Forever 21
Flash Tattoos: c/o Hot Jewels

This dress is the perfect example of an oldie but goodie. One of those pieces that you purchase that has the staying power to live in your closet for a decade and you ACTUALLY wear it! I shared this dress a few years back in this post, which became one of Twenties Girl Style's top pins. It is the perfect summer/vacation dress as it is light and airy and so comfortable. It always seems to make it's way into my suitcase when I travel, and my vacation to Maui was no exception!

The temperature definitely dropped during the evenings, so maxi dresses were the perfect evening wear. I ended up wearing a maxi with my denim jacket on the majority of my evenings out, and was perfectly comfortable. Going with my little to no jewelry on vacation rule, I stuck with a sweet tassel necklace and some Hot Jewels flash tattoos.

I am now OBSESSED with Hot Jewels! Flash tattoos are perfect for the beach! I wore these throughout the week and love that they give the impression of being jewelry, but you can wear them to the beach without ruining them or losing them! I will be wearing taking these with me on vacation from now on!

#WIWT - Maui Nights

 Top: Tobi
Shorts: American Eagle (my favorites!)
Shoes: Forever 21
Hat: Target - obsessed with this option which is perfect for the cold weather!
Necklace: Bauble Bar

I'm back!! I had an AMAZING time in Maui, and it was definitely hard to return to the snow and cold weather. Hawaii is a tropical paradise, and it was so fun to get to celebrate my engagement with my family and fiancé on the beach! Taking photos of my nightly outfits was somewhat challenging as it gets dark so early this time of year! We would literally sit on the beach enjoying the sunshine and water until late in the afternoon, and by the time we got back to our condo and showered it was almost dark. Also, this was the first time E was behind the camera! In all my years of blogging, he has never taken my photos, so this was a fun first. I think he did a pretty great job, but he has plenty of time to perfect his skills:)

When I am on a beach vacation, I am all about being minimalistic. Minimal to no makeup, natural hair, and little jewelry. For one of our first nights out, I put on my trusty denim shorts, a sweet cold shoulder top and my panama hat (a must for any beach vacation) to peruse the shops on front street in Lahaina.

Most of these exact items are unavailable as they are from last season. However, I have linked some of my favorite cold-shoulder tops, denim shorts and gladiator sandal options below!

Love, Lenore Guest Post

Happy Monday! Continuing the blog takeover today with the gorgeous Jacy of Love, Lenore! Jacy's blog has been at the top of my daily reads list for a few years, and I would be lying if I didn't tell you I am slightly obsessed. Jacy is the queen of dressing up basics. She is your go to blogger for everyday wear, as she mixes and matches things every girl has in her closet! When I am struggling with what to wear, I know I can skip over to Jacy's blog for inspiration! I love the way she accessorizes and adds in the perfect touches of color making each outfit unique and ridiculously stylish. I adore this girl and am so happy to get to introduce you to her! I know if you visit Love, Lenore, you will fall in love with Jacy's style too! Don't say I didn't warn you!

Hi everyone! I'm Jacy of Love, Lenore and I'm so excited to be guest-posting for Ashley while she's away on vacation. Ashley is one of my oldest blog/Instagram friends, and I think her style is just amazing and that she is gorgeous inside and out!

Today I just wanted to share a little sampling of my style and a few favorite outfits from the last few months! As I'm sure you'll quickly gather, I'm big into neutrals and basics, and love amping my outfits up with accessories and pops of color.

I live in a smaller Missouri town (never thought 'small town' would be in my bio until this year) with my new husband and two adorable shelter doggies. I've been blogging for a few years now, but really found my groove and a new wind this fall and love it more than ever!

A little more about me... I'm the director of communications for a school district (and absolutely love my job), so from 8-5 M-F you'll find me in dressier outfits and no jeans. This was my favorite work outfit from the fall because I love that it's fun but professional!

Two trends that I can't get enough of... Turtle/cowl necks and hats! One look at my blog and you'll notice that I've been wearing a hat in nearly every post this fall/winter season.

Full post & outfit details: 1, 2, 3

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope to see you over at Love, Lenore!

Hope you're having a wonderful holiday season!

xo,
Jacy
