Gold-Hatted Lover Guest Post

The next gorgeous blogger to take over Twenties Girl Style is the sweet Mary-Katherine of Gold-Hatted Lover. I ADORE this girl! Not only is she the sweetest person, but I've got a major style crush on her! MK's style is a breath of fresh air. She seamlessly incorporates preppy meets trendy meets girly into each outfit making perfect combinations that you will definitely want to copy! I always browse MK's blog, looking for some new inspiration and she never fails to inspire me! I love that today she is sharing some of her favorite winter looks and cold-weather staples, which I definitely am taking note of (I need some coated denim ASAP!). Don't forget to stop by Gold-Hatted Lover for more style inspiration!

Hi there Twenties Girl Style readers!  I am Mary-Katherine and I blog over at Gold-Hatted Lover, where I share my outfits, favorite trends, life happenings, travels and anything else I feel like posting.  I have been a fan of Ashley's for a while now, so I was excited when she asked me to take over her blog for a day while she is off on a much-deserved vacation.  Ash is just so darn cute and her style is so relatable; I always find myself wanting to copy every look of hers!
Being born and raised in California, I am definitely a warm weather girl, but since I now live in the Midwest where winter is no joke, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite winter looks and my cold-weather staples.

#WIWT 2014 Round-Up!

2014 has been a great year!
Just to name a few things...
I got a full time teaching job as a first grade teacher
I went to Disneyland
I GOT ENGAGED!

The list could go on...but those are just a few things that have made this year extra spectacular! Not to mention, although I have been blogging since 2011 (that is CRAZY! Can you believe it?!), Twenties Girl Style has really grown this past year. I am so excited to see what 2015 has in store for my blog and my life (wedding this summer...??).

Here is a look back at some of my favorite outfits of 2014!

Upbeat Soles Guest Post

The third fabulous lady to guest post is Shannon of Upbeat Soles! This girl's style is phenomenal! She has such a fun, playful way of pairing pieces that is the perfect mix of classy meets sassy. Her blog is one I lurk frequently for new posts, as I love that her outfits are affordable and offer something to every girl! It's an honor to have this lady on the blog today! I love that she is talking about a trend I am absolutely head over heels for...OTK boots! Make sure to stop by Upbeat Soles and take a peek...I promise you will be a repeat visitor!

Hi lovelies! First off, I want to thank Ashley for letting me crash her place today! It is definitely an honor to be here, since I am a big fan of Twenties Girl Style! My name is Shannon I blog over at Upbeat Soles! Over there you'll find lots of outfit inspiration on a budget and a little randomness here and there! Today I want to talk about my favorite trend this Fall/Winter season, the over the knee boots! Honestly, you can throw them on with just about any outfit and you instantly become fabulous in my opinion! Whether they are flat boots or heeled boots, you can wear them with pretty much anything and still make a statement! If you aren't feeling super daring or a beginner over the knee-er try them with a good pair of skinny jeans like I did here!

Subtle, but still screams I mean business! If you a feeling a little bit more on the edgy side, try them with a great pair of cut offs and over sized sweater!

For a little bit more of a casual, flirty look go for a flat boot and pair it with a fun skater skirt or a fit and flare dress!

Ok, so have I convinced you that you need a pair of over the knee boots in your closet, if you have't already?! ;) I hope so! They are definitely a must this season! I just want to give another shot out to my girl Ashley for letting me be here today and I hope everyone has a great rest of the day! <3

Living in Color Guest Post

The second lovely blogger guest posting for me is Elle of Living in Color. Elle is another fellow teacher-fashionista that I absolutely ADORE. Sweet Elle reached out to me last spring, offering me teaching advice for my first year of teaching that was BEYOND helpful. We also had the chance to collaborate a few times this summer with our summer prints series (I hope she is up for bringing it back next year!). I am beyond obsessed with Elle's style and have taken countless looks from her blog to re-create in my classroom. This girl is just one of the sweetest most fashionable I know, so please make sure to stop by Living in Color...I promise you won't regret it!

Hello lovely Twenties Girl Style readers! My name is Elle, and I'm the blogger behind Living in Color, a personal style and fashion blog. I am a teacher by day, and a self-proclaimed fashionista and blogger by night. Along with being inspired daily, I particularly enjoy the community that comes with blogging! I've met some fabulous teachers, and some amazing style bloggers through my blog, and I'm so thankful for those interactions! Ashley is one of my closest blogger friends, and I love collaborating with her! I can see why you are a loyal reader of her blog :) she's the best!
I always say that my blog is targeted to "style for teachers and the every-day fashionista" because we all know a teacher's salary isn't all that great, therefore, I've had to adjust my style and shopping budget accordingly. You'll see many budget-friendly pieces on my blog mixed in with some staple investment pieces. My outfits are primarily divided into two categories: Teacher Style, and Weekend Style.

Modesty for work is very important to me, but so are trends! I try to find a happy medium, with bright and colorful pieces. I usually shop at stores like Old Navy, Gap, J.Crew Factory, LOFT, and Banana Republic for my teacher-appropriate clothes, but I find a lot of my weekend wear at ASOS.com and H&M. Oh, and I wouldn't be a teacher if I didn't ADORE Target ;) Below I want to share a holiday-inspired outfit with you! This is what I wore to my school's holiday party!

I styled a classic combo for my work holiday party: chambray, red, and leopard. This Chicwish skirt is absolutely gorgeous, so I had to glam it up with my fancy necklace. I love how the skirt has a feminine a-line cut, and it's so festive in cherry red! I am definitely considering repeating this outfit for my work holiday party later this week!

If you have any questions about me, teaching, or style/fashion, please don't hesitate to email me: livingincolorstyle@gmail.com. I love making new friends! :)

xoxo.
