Fishbowl Fashion Guest Post

Happy Monday!! I hope all of you had a splendid Christmas and a wonderful weekend! As you may know, I am currently on vacation in Hawaii. I decided to use this as the perfect opportunity to introduce you to some amazing blogging babes. I chose some of my all time favorite ladies, whose blogs I know you will fall in love with! These ladies are amazing bloggers with incredible style and I am SO excited to share them with you!

The first lovely blogger is Nichole of Fishbowl Fashion. Nichole made an appearance on Twenties Girl Style a few weeks ago when we teamed up for a Holiday Lookbook! Nichole and I met in college and became quick besties upon discovering that we had so much in common, including a huge love for fashion and the exact same birthday! Nichole's blog is filled with laid-back meets girly looks that are always so classic. I definitely get a lot of inspiration for my day to day outfits from this girl! Don't forget to stop by Fishbowl Fashion and say hello!

Hi there! My name is Nichole and I am the face behind the style blog, Fishbowl Fashion. I am so happy to be here today guest posting for Ashley. Ashley and I met in college and became fast friends. Not only is she the sweetest, but she actually inspired me to start my own blog! Anyway, onto today’s outfit.
I realized that I was in a monochromatic funk recently wearing neutrals on repeat. When I went on the hunt to find some color to add to my life, I found this sweater from J.Crew Factory. I love it and have already found endless ways to style it! It has quickly become a favorite staple of mine for this winter season. What are your winter favorites?
Thank you so much Ashley for having me! I hope you are having a the time of your life in Hawaii. You can check out more of my outfits here or follow me on instagram.
~Have a great day!~

I hope all of you are in holiday bliss right now after Christmas yesterday!
I am still in a hazy state of mind walking around with this new ring on my finger! I can't believe I'm getting married!!!!

If you've followed me for awhile, you may know how over the top obsessed I am with Monica's Closet Essentials and Monica, my sweet blogging friend who runs it! I've shared quite a few pieces from MCE, and am always so obsessed with each item I get. This top is no different. I have literally been living in this swingy little number! I LOVE the fit and have been wearing it with jeans, leggings, and colored skinnies!

I am heading to Hawaii today, but have some great things in store while I am gone!! Make sure to stop by next week to meet some AMAZING blogging babes who will be taking over Twenties Girl Style while I am away!

Merry Christmas Eve!
My end to 2014 has been pretty crazy. I've been MIA, but as promised yesterday, I will get you caught up!

A few weeks ago, I was having tonsil issues and was put on an antibiotic to clear things up. After 7 days of taking it, I had an allergic reaction and my WHOLE ENTIRE BODY broke out in huge, itchy hives. It was probably the least cute thing ever. Luckily, it faded from my face quicker than the rest of my body, so I only missed one day of work and was back by Friday. Friday night, as the rash finally started to fade, I came down with the flu. Oh the joys of working with children! I spent the weekend cooped up, laying in bed, feeling absolutely miserable. I was feeling slightly better on Monday, but just barely made it through the work day. Tuesday, I felt 90% back to normal, but spent my day at work curiously itching. By the time I got home, my entire body was covered with rash....AGAIN. Seriously, can the girl not catch a break?! I headed to the doctor where they told me my body was still reacting to the antibiotic. I was definitely a sight for sore eyes, with a major case of the polkadots...and I don't mean the trendy kind. Luckily, they all finally faded (currently praying they don't make a reappearance for the 3rd time...), and I got to spend the Friday before Christmas break with my very excited first graders, which was a super fun, exciting, sweet (and exhausting!) experience!

But, the absolutely insane two weeks I just had was completely worth it, because this weekend something EXTRA special happened....

I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!

After almost 8 years together, E and I are getting married! I am over the moon excited to get to spend forever with my very best friend, and am still slightly in shock. The proposal was perfect and I can't wait to share it with you! This is definitely a Christmas to remember!

2014 Favorite Buys

I am sorry I have been MIA lately! The past two weeks have literally been the craziest of my life! I hope to share more tomorrow, but in the meantime I thought I would share my favorite buys of 2014. These are just a few things that I have had on constant repeat this year that I definitely recommend!
