Back to Basics

Top: Rubbish 'Chambray Boyfriend Shirt' from Nordstroms - Get it HERE
Pants: Old Navy 'Rock Star Cords'
Scarf: Old Navy (last year - sold out) - Similar HERE
Boots: BP 'Runway' Boots - Get them HERE
Glasses: c/o Firmoo
Bag: Melie Bianco via Little Black Bag
Bracelets: 'Lioness' Bracelet via Jewelmint and gifted bead bracelet

When I took these photos on Monday, it was back to chilly weather. Luckily, I am escaping the chill for the tropical weather of Hawaii. I will be MIA for a week or so, but will be back with lots of Hawaiian outfits posts to share:)

I love chambray tops. They are so easy to pair with just about anything, and I really think they are a basic every girl should own! For a chilly day, I paired it with my Rock Star cord's from Old Navy that fit surprisingly well. I typically have trouble fitting into Old Navy bottoms as I find they run really big. Even 0's are too big for me. The Rock Star line seem to fit a lot smaller as these are 2's. I really adore the color, a dark teal, and loved the addition of my favorite leopard scarf and two-tone crossbody bag. My prescription glasses from Firmoo where the perfect final touch for this casual day of work and errands.

Spring is Coming!

Top: 'Lace Peplum' from Target - find it HERE
Necklace: 'Chunky Statement Necklace' in Peach c/o Rire
Jeans: Joe's
Shoes: Target
Rings: Bow Ring - Old Navy & Green Gem - Anthropologie

Friday, the weather reached a ridiculously wonderful 67 degrees. I was in paradise! Yes, that is not considered summer weather by any means, but it felt so fantastic to prance outside and feel 'thawed out', if any of you know what I mean haha. After the chilly 30 and 40 degree weather we have been having, Friday, March 1st, finally felt like spring really is just around the corner. I was also feeling very springy and colorful as I've been packing all of my summer finest as I'm heading to Hawaii on Wednesday! I am extremely excited for a much needed vacation, especially in Hawaii, as I have only ever been when I was a baby, and obviously I don't remember that!

To usher in this warm weather, I spent the day running errands in cuffed jeans, wedges, a short sleeve lace peplum, and a pretty peach statement necklace. A very natural, plain look, that I complimented with bare, unpainted fingers and toes. I really felt like a fresh look was in need for a day that felt like fresh beginnings with spring coming. Do you guys know what I mean??

I picked this lace peplum up from Target for $20. After getting it home and trying it on, I LOVED the fit and had to go back to buy one in green. I'm terrible at buying multiples of things I love. I added this chunky statement necklace in peach from Rire Boutique for the perfect pop of color. This necklace is the ultimate statement piece and I adore how chunky it is. For $24, I feel like it is such a steal, as I've seen EXTREMELY similar necklaces (as in almost identical) on other high end websites, selling for upwards of $50. Whats even better? This necklace comes in a variety of pretty springy colors, including lavender, yellow, peach and mint.

A Dress to Live In

Dress: 'Public Library Dress' in Navy c/o August Wrinkle
Cardigan: Cotton Emporium 'Oversized Cardigan' from Nordstroms - get similar version HERE
Tights: Target
Boots: Steve Madden 'Midorii'
Ring: Forever 21
Watch: Fossil 'Heather' - get it HERE

You know when something fits you absolutely perfectly and you want to wear it like every single day? Meet that piece of clothing in my life at this moment, the 'Public Library Dress' from August Wrinkle. This dress is AMAZING. I rave about a lot of clothing items, but seriously, seriously, can I live in this dress??

Pairing it with my favorite cozy sweater from Nordstroms, patterned tights, and boots (my go to!), I wore minimal jewelry and let the dress do all of the talking. I mean polka dots, a pretty collar and cute gold buttons? Does it get any better?! This outfit was perfect for a chilly, WINDY, winter day and transitioned perfectly for dinner in the evening.

On a side note, if you haven't noticed, twentiesgirlstyle.com is in desperate need of a facelift. I'm ridiculously picky and indecisive, hence the extremely plain, non-design. I am also 100% tech challenged and can not do anything design/html worthy. So many blogs I follow have adorable designs/layouts. Do you guys have any suggestions? xo

Yeah...I Really Own That: Lauren from Sincerely, Lo

When I first laid eyes on Lauren's blog, Sincerely, Lo (formerly Mintgem), it was love at first sight. Lauren reminds me of that girl you knew in school that everyone wanted to be. Her style is so darn cool and effortless, and I find myself noting details about her outfits (that I try and imitate later), on a daily basis. Yeah...I'm sort of obsessed with Lauren's style.

Oh, and I forgot to mention...Lauren makes KILLER jewelry. Lauren's impeccable taste in fashion definitely translates to her jewelry, Mintgem. Every piece is cool and edgy, and her bracelets look great stacked, to complete that ever coveted arm party. Yeah guys, once again, I'm obsessed! Lauren often showcases her pieces on her blog, but they can be purchased in her Etsy shop HERE

I am so excited to introduce you to the stylish and crafty "Yeah...I Really Own That" guest blogger for February...

Lauren from Sincerely, Lo
Hello! My name is Lauren! My blog is called Sincerely, Lo.
I want to thank Ashley for letting me guest post for her February "Yeah...I really own that!" It forced me to pull out a piece of clothing I bought last summer, wore once, and stuck in the back of my closet.

I found these pants at TJ Maxx and for some reason they struck my eye and wallet. I thought they were super cool and I liked how they were pants but almost appear to look like a maxi skirt! I am all about comfort, people! So anyways, for this post I decided to pair these interesting pants with some of my favorites!

Thank you so much for reading and be sure to stop by my blog, Sincerely, Lo, and say hello!
