Tropicana

Skirt: Hollister Dress from 4 years ago
T-shirt: Old Navy - find HERE
Belt: Old Navy
Shoes: Target - find HERE
Bracelet: 'Cinema Americano' via Jewelmint

A trend I've been obsessing over this summer? Tropical prints. I'm a little late at jumping on this bandwagon as the blogosphere has been blowing up with Tropical goodness all season, but better late than never!

I've been getting better at shopping in my own closet and have been bringing out so many oldies but goodies. This tropical print Hollister dress was my favorite 4 years ago, as I adored the print and comfy fit. I haven't worn this dress in probably 2 years and was excited to rediscover it this week. I liked the idea of putting a t over it and belting the ensemble. I decided to mix prints but stick to a similar color so the overall effect wasn't too obnoxious. Conclusion? I've found my new favorite tropical 'skirt'!

Sunburst

T-shirt: American Eagle - similar HERE and HERE
Peplum Skirt: Forever21
Necklace: Gift from boyfriend
Ring: Forever21
Wedges: Target

I was instantly drawn to pairing this t-shirt with the peplum skirt as there is something about this color combination that I adore. It might sound cheesy, but it totally reminds me of a gorgeous summer sunset when the sky turns that unexpected orangey-pink tone you didn't think possible in nature. I paired it with a more subtle necklace and nude wedges to avoid distracting from the bold colors but added a bright cocktail ring for a finishing touch. Sloppy ponytails are my favorite summer hair style not just because they are easy, but also because I am in dire need of a haircut and my appointment is a ways out :] Thank you, ponytail.

Indian Summer

Top: American Eagle
Skirt: Nordstroms
Sandals: Target
Necklace: Forever21
Earrings: Sheinside - adore THESE
Bracelets: Beaded (gifted) & Turquoise 'Zuni' Bracelet via Jewelmint
Ring: Old Navy

August is flying by and I'm savoring every minute of the warmth. It's been ridiculously hot for late August, which has me crossing my fingers for an Indian Summer. By now, you all know that I am maxi obsessed and I'm so excited that this skirt is the perfect summer to fall transition piece. I will definitely be wearing this in the fall with boots and a chambray, but decided to pair it with a crisp, white crop top and native inspired jewelry for a sweltering August day.

The Perfect Denim Cutoffs

Denim Cutoffs: Sheinside - find HERE
Sheer Button-Up: Forever21 - similar versions HERE and HERE
Bandeau: Victoria's Secret Pink - similar HERE and HERE
Shoes: Madden Girl
Bag: Melie Bianco via Little Black Bag
Belt: Forever21
Rosegold Bangles: Target - find HERE

I have been looking for the perfect denim cutoffs for what seems like forever. I just so happened to stumble across these beauties while browsing Sheinside and ordered them immediately. While they aren't the vintage levi's I'm dying to get my hands on, I absolutely love they way they fit and have been pairing them with anything and everything. For running errands, I paired them with a sheer button down blouse and a bandeau, a studded belt, and these amazing rose-gold bangles from Target.
