If you haven't noticed, Twenties Girl Style got a little face lift this week! This revamp is thanks to the lovely and talented Joyce over at Joyful Outfits. I seriously adore it and am excited that my blog actually looks like a blog now...thanks Joyce!!!

This week has been crazy. I guess thats what you get for getting an almost 2 week vacation. Getting back into the swing of things is always difficult after time off! The weather here has been so bipolar, transitioning from freezing to warm and breezy day after day. It's supposed to warm up this weekend for good and be in the 70's for Easter. Fingers crossed!!

I love prints for spring. The easiest way to get on the print wagon? Polka dots! This top from August Wrinkle  (which also comes in mint...adorable!), is the perfect mix of sheer and polkadots. I feel like this piece will be so easy to transition throughout the seasons as its light and airy but easily layer-able. Perfection. I've been rocking my vegan leather skirt quite often lately and really loved how the polka dot top helped to tone down toughness and bring out a more playful side. With my favorite DV by Dolce Vita wedges and my new FAVORITE hat (seriously, I've never been a hat girl, but I never want to take this one off!!), I felt this was an outfit worthy of a revamped blog :)

Yeah...I Really Own That: Jessi from Haircut & General Attitude

I've been following Jessi's blog, Haircut and General Attitude, since I first started blogging. Jessi's style is extremely unique and refreshing and I fell in love automatically. It's hard to pinpoint one word to describe Jessi's style as so many come to mind; romantic, classic, sweet, colorful, and the list goes on. What I adore about her style is that it so reminiscent of era's past. This girl not only incorporates history when she dresses (just look through her blog and you will see influences from all eras 20's-90's), but her beauty is of the ages. Seriously, this girl has a natural, classic beauty that reminds me of the great movie stars of the past. To top it off, Jessi is a sweetheart and her sweet and endearing posts filled with amazing style (that you WILL want to try and copy), will keep you coming back for more. Oh, and how awesome is her blog name!?

With that said, I am so happy to introduce you to the sweet and beautiful "Yeah...I Really Own That" guest blogger for March...

Jessi from Haircut and General Attitude

Hey dolls! I'm Jessi and I'm honored to be posting on the lovely Ashley's blog today! I love the idea of this series she came up with! So creative and fun. I've been following along so I was excited to join in.
My initial thought was that this would be an easy task. I had to have more than one questionable item hiding in my wardrobe, right? But it was harder than I thought! Maybe it had something to do with recently going through my clothes and getting rid of what I didn't wear in an effort to make some extra space, but I couldn't find anything! That's when I remembered this little tutorial I had pinned. So I grabbed one of my Hubby's flannel shirts and fashioned myself a skirt! I kept the rest of the outfit pretty simple and threw on my favorite velvet combat boots and tah-da!
What do you think? Would you actually wear this out or just keep it around as an idea for an "emergency skirt"? I can't decide. I think this particular shirt was a little thick so it tended to bunch up, but if it was a lighter fabric I might totally rock it around town!

Outfit Details:
Tee - Forever 21

I'm back, but I can't tell you how badly I wish I was currently still sitting on the beach in Maui. Maui is absolutely beautiful, paradise (just look at the gorgeous flowers in the background!!). I had such a fantastic time, relaxing, swimming in the ocean, sitting in the sand and just enjoying my surroundings. It was by far the most perfect way to enjoy some R&R with the family.

I took pictures of most of the outfits I wore while I was there (which I will be sharing), but this outfit really sums it up: dress, sandals, and minimal jewelry. The warm weather was fantastic, and it was so nice being able to indulge in bare arms and legs and not having to stuff myself into coats and leggings and thick socks (yes, it snowed the day we came home).

When I received this dress from August Wrinkle, I knew it would be making the trip to Maui with me. This is one of those pieces of clothing that when you see online you love, but in person is SO MUCH BETTER. I can't tell you how gorgeous this dress is in person, as pictures just don't do it justice. The color is perfect and the sweet, chevron, knit pattern adds a unique touch. This is my first dress with an open back, which I love, but what's even better? The built in bra feature, that makes worrying about bra straps showing through the open back, non-existent. As for jewelry, I wore this Rire Boutique necklace(find it HERE)  in a recent post, and knew it was the perfect companion for this dress. I love the peach and mint color combo (I just noticed that one of the pieces to the necklace is turned backwards...ugh...definitely an eyesore, sorry guys!) I threw on a pair of basic sandals, grabbed my jean jacket, and headed out to for dinner and shopping in paradise.

Bag: Melie Bianco via Little Black Bag
Bracelets: 'Lioness' Bracelet via Jewelmint and gifted bead bracelet

When I took these photos on Monday, it was back to chilly weather. Luckily, I am escaping the chill for the tropical weather of Hawaii. I will be MIA for a week or so, but will be back with lots of Hawaiian outfits posts to share:)

I love chambray tops. They are so easy to pair with just about anything, and I really think they are a basic every girl should own! For a chilly day, I paired it with my Rock Star cord's from Old Navy that fit surprisingly well. I typically have trouble fitting into Old Navy bottoms as I find they run really big. Even 0's are too big for me. The Rock Star line seem to fit a lot smaller as these are 2's. I really adore the color, a dark teal, and loved the addition of my favorite leopard scarf and two-tone crossbody bag. My prescription glasses from Firmoo where the perfect final touch for this casual day of work and errands.
