What to Wear for Holiday Travel

Faux Leather Leggings (under $30, wearing an XXS) // Black OTK Boots // Rebecca Minkoff Bag //
I can't believe Christmas Eve is TOMORROW! Where did time go? Thankfully I am done shopping and have almost all of my presents wrapped. Tomorrow I will finish up a few last minute things and get the rest of the presents wrapped just in time for all of the festivities to begin!

Today I am sharing a cozy layered look that is perfect for holiday travel. I usually layer up this time of year, but especially when traveling. I am always cold, so layering up is important! Soft knits and leggings are perfect travel pieces because they are comfortable but still cute! These faux leather leggings are a must have! They give you all the comfort of your average leggings, but are trendier and can be easily dressed up or down. If you plan on keeping your travel outfit on once you get to your destination, go for the leather look! I could easily dress this outfit up by changing out the boots for heels, removing the coat, scarf and hat and adding a cute leather jacket or faux fur vest!

Home for the Holidays with Payless ShoeSource

This time of year, I spend WAY too much time at my parents house. Luckily enough, they live less than 10 minutes away, making it easy to visit. However, during the holidays, I find myself spending whole days there, baking cookies, watching Christmas movies and just hanging out with my parents and siblings. It gets a little crazy with all of our dogs there. My parents have two (Finlee and Bailee) and I ALWAYS bring Stella along, but there really is no place I would rather be!

Just like at my own home, I am always about comfort when relaxing at my parents home. This time of year, it's always fun to spend the day doing Christmas activities in cozy Christmas PJs. I picked these up for PJ day at school (yes, I wore these to work and my students LOVED it) and have spent a few days lounging in them.

Of course a MUST have for snuggling up this time of year is a great pair of slippers and Payless ShoeSource has the cutest options! I love these grey moccasins because they are SO cozy and they have a soft sole so if I need to run out to my car to grab something, I can do so without having to mess with taking slippers off or putting on shoes. I'm not going to lie...I may have even ventured to the store this week wearing these cuties! I am obsessing over these bootie moccasins which would be perfect to wear for a night in or for winter travel (hello...SO cozy!). Asking for these cable knit slippers in my stocking because they are easy to slip on and are perfect for year round wear! Cozy feet are a MUST during the holidays (and winter in general), so do your feet a favor and check out Payless!

PS in need of a last minute Christmas gift? HELLO...slippers! Find a Payless ShoeSource near you and finish your shopping!

Velvet Off the Shoulder Top

I told you yesterday that you would be seeing more velvet around here...and I'm back at it again today! Is there anything better than an off the shoulder velvet top? The moment I saw this cutie from Antique Garden, I envisioned wearing it all December long. It's the perfect party top! Pair with some skinny jeans and booties and accessorize with some sparkly earrings and you've got a cute and festive look that's perfect for a holiday party or NYE!

Velvet Swing Dress

One trend I am loving this season is velvet...so be prepared to see more of it soon! There are so many cute velvet pieces out there that would be perfect for the holidays. This is one of my NYE contenders. I love the swing fit and the burnout floral print. I also love that it would be easy to dress up or down. Pair it with some tights and a cardigan and this could easily be worn on a weekend or a dinner date night! This cutie is currently on sale, and I've linked up a few more I wouldn't mind adding to my closet this season!
