Summer Trend: Little Red Dress

Little Red Dress

Okay, so maybe little red dresses aren't on hot summer trends for 2015, but they are a big must in my book! There is nothing better than a vibrant red dress on a sweet summer night. Paired with cognac and white accessories and a summer tan, you can't go wrong. In fact, a LRD is something you should always have in your closet! It's such a timeless color and something that can be worn year round! Whether you are going for a bright poppy red, or a toned down coral, a red dress is the perfect statement maker! The above options are some of my current favorites, but I am really craving something with one shoulder. It's the perfect style to wear to a wedding, as you get the effect of an off the shoulder or strapless but without having to worry your dress will fall down while you dance the night away! Shop some of my favorite red one shoulder dresses here, and then check out these cognac wedges and these gorgeous white accessories! You can thank me later :)

Basics with a Twist

Top: American Eagle (similar) // Pants: DSTLD 'ripped low rise skinny jeans' c/o // Shoes: Old - identical // Bag: Hayden Harnett 'All Day' Leather Satchel c/o // Hat: Old - tons of great floppy hat options here // Necklace: Shiny Mix 'Dynasty Bib' c/o //

This is my favorite outfit lately. I have been wearing some combination of this look for the past two weeks. Jeans and a tee or tank with a statement necklace and fun shoes. It's easy to wear and easy to remix, hence why it's on constant repeat! I am loving heeled sandals at the moment, as they are the ultimate addition to any outfit. They seem to make any outfit instant chic, take this outfit for example...it definitely doesn't have the same appeal with a pair of booties or sandals! I am currently on the hunt for a few new pairs to add to my closet, but the list of contenders is huge. Check out just a few (okay maybe way more than a few...) of my favorite heeled sandals here!

Last weeks blog of the week is Crissy of Some Velvet Morning . I am absolutely in love with the vibrant colors and patterns in this post! This dress is SO fun for summer, and I love the unexpected pop of shoe color. She paired it with some daintier jewelry, but the best accessory is the gorgeous flowers! What a perfect combo!

Road Trip

Top + Skirt c/o GentleFawn // Sandals: Dolce Vita// Bag: Sole Society // Hat: Target (old)//

There's nothing like pulling over to the side of the road during a road trip to snap some photos in the scenery. This was not the plan, but when you decide to take a last minute trip, you've got to role with the flow. When we were heading out, I immediately changed into this outfit from GentleFawn, because I knew it would be SO comfortable for the car. These easy to wear knits are not only comfortable, but also beyond cute, giving that effortless pulled together look one craves after riding in the car for a long period of time. Both pieces work seamlessly together, but will be perfect separates to mix in with my wardrobe. I've already worn this skirt with a slouchy tank and this top with some ripped denim. They are perfect pieces that can be a staple in any girls wardrobe!

Off the Shoulder

Top: SheIn c/o // Jeans: DSTLD High waisted in vintage porcelain wash c/o // Shoes: Old - identical // Bag: Mar Y Sol // Necklace: Bauble Bar c/o  // Sunnies: Ray-ban 'Erika' //

Flowy off the shoulder tops have been my go to lately. There is something so effortless about a pair of jeans and an off the shoulder top. It's a perfect summer evening outfit! I wore this out for dinner with E. We went to Mexican food and this outfit was perfectly fitting! My Mar Y Sol tote was the ultimate addition to this outfit! I can't get over the cute tassels and how easily it transitions from a beach bag to a purse! This outfit is sure to be a multi-repeat offender this summer. Re-creating this look is simple, as you can pair any off the shoulder top with an embroidered or woven bag! Shop some of my FAVORITE off the shoulder tops here!
