Merry Christmas Eve!
My end to 2014 has been pretty crazy. I've been MIA, but as promised yesterday, I will get you caught up!

A few weeks ago, I was having tonsil issues and was put on an antibiotic to clear things up. After 7 days of taking it, I had an allergic reaction and my WHOLE ENTIRE BODY broke out in huge, itchy hives. It was probably the least cute thing ever. Luckily, it faded from my face quicker than the rest of my body, so I only missed one day of work and was back by Friday. Friday night, as the rash finally started to fade, I came down with the flu. Oh the joys of working with children! I spent the weekend cooped up, laying in bed, feeling absolutely miserable. I was feeling slightly better on Monday, but just barely made it through the work day. Tuesday, I felt 90% back to normal, but spent my day at work curiously itching. By the time I got home, my entire body was covered with rash....AGAIN. Seriously, can the girl not catch a break?! I headed to the doctor where they told me my body was still reacting to the antibiotic. I was definitely a sight for sore eyes, with a major case of the polkadots...and I don't mean the trendy kind. Luckily, they all finally faded (currently praying they don't make a reappearance for the 3rd time...), and I got to spend the Friday before Christmas break with my very excited first graders, which was a super fun, exciting, sweet (and exhausting!) experience!

But, the absolutely insane two weeks I just had was completely worth it, because this weekend something EXTRA special happened....

I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!

After almost 8 years together, E and I are getting married! I am over the moon excited to get to spend forever with my very best friend, and am still slightly in shock. The proposal was perfect and I can't wait to share it with you! This is definitely a Christmas to remember!

I am sorry I have been MIA lately! The past two weeks have literally been the craziest of my life! I hope to share more tomorrow, but in the meantime I thought I would share my favorite buys of 2014. These are just a few things that I have had on constant repeat this year that I definitely recommend!

#WIWT Fancy Feet

 Sweater: Forever 21
Shoes: c/o Keds x Kate Spade in Rosegold (I need the gold version now!)
Sunnies: Anthropologie - similar

I am a HUGE fan of Keds! Therefore, when these beauties landed on my front door step, I put them on and now I never want to take them off! There is something just so perfect about a sweet, sparkly pair of sneakers, and this is truly the most perfect time of year for them too! I definitely am dying to get them in gold now!
This is my version of laid-back holiday style. A cozy sweater, jeans and the perfect pair of shoes, that spread a little extra holiday cheer!

Knit Layers

 Sweater: c/o Red Clover
Top: Tobi - similar here and here
Leggings: Lululemon
Boots: Vince Camuto
Scarf: Forever 21 - similar here and here
Hat: Free People - similar here and here

Comfy, casual and layered is my go to this time of year. I need something warm enough to run errands in that allows me to get away without wearing a coat, so I don't have to lug it around from store to store. Something cozy enough that I can curl up and watch a Christmas movie and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Last but not least, I need something cute that I can wear out to meet up with friends.

When getting dressed for the day with this outfit in mind, I always start with leggings and a tee, simple and comfortable. Add a cardigan and a cute pair of boots and accessorize to fit your schedule.

This cardigan from Red Clover boutique has quickly become my favorite. It is so ridiculously comfortable and oversized, that it does double duty as the perfect comfy, movie day sweater or Christmas activity attire. If you are looking for the perfect last minute Christmas idea, this sweater is it!
